A Summer Event

While details will be shared later, one thing I'd like to do is make this new game server ephemeral in nature: Two months. But as a veteran World of Warcraft player, I understand that what bothers the most those of us who enjoy building our character in a tremendous game is losing our progress.

So yes: The server will be available only during the summer season (at least here in Europe) but will reopen the following year advancing to the next expansion and offering new content.

Vanilla Classic Blizzlike Server

This is a very early announcement, but there are many features that are clear to me.

• The original game experience will be maintained, with all the good and all the bad.
• The server will use version 1.21.1 of the game as a base, but you will be able to connect from the Modern clients with updated graphics and QoL improvements.
• +1 subscribers will get one week early access.
• Player progress will not be lost between seasons.

There's still a lot to be determined, with more details to come over the next few months! Stay tuned for more on Discord, the blog, and as announcements come through my social media channels.

This isn't my first time

I hope you're as excited about this as I am! One of the first projects I did when I was starting out as a developer was to have a World of Warcraft server called Dynamite, which was very well received and was a long-standing example of how to do things right in this field.
